Please take a moment to watch a short video highlighting the teens at Gilda’s Club Westchester

Join us for the Gilda's Westchester No Gala Gala Today!

While we can’t gather together in person, we are so grateful to join you virtually for our first ever online “No Gala, Gala”. Now more than ever, our community needs your support.

"It’s so strange being stuck at home right now. School is usually my escape… a place that makes life seem normal. Now I am home, and constantly reminded of my mom’s cancer. Gilda’s has given me an outlet to talk about this, and learn ways to deal with this experience. I don’t know what I would do without having them there for me."

- Gilda's Teen Member

The children, teens and families in our program are continuing to cope with illness and grief, in addition to managing the impact of COVID-19. For families who were already working so hard to create a much needed routine, they are now facing a completely “new normal”.

Our role, with your help, is to provide continuity for these families. We have been providing individual and family counseling sessions, as well as support groups via videoconferencing. Our staff has been sending virtual projects out to families, and we have even started our own private Instagram account as a way for our children and teens to remain a connected community.

These virtual offerings have been a lifeline to our families, offering strategies around coping, developing new routines, and creating normalcy.

Gilda’s Club Westchester needs your help so that we can continue to provide this vital support to families impacted by cancer through these unchartered waters, and beyond.
