Gilda’s Club Westchester will be hosting an important informational workshop on Monday October 4 at 2:30-3:30 pm, as part of its ongoing Frankly Speaking About Cancer workshop series — “Making Treatment Decisions.” This program will focus on building awareness among patients and caregivers about being able to speak openly with their health care team about treatment decision making, side effects, and how to prepare questions for their next appointment. This program is appropriate for anyone with a cancer diagnosis or anyone who supports someone (caregiver, family member, or friend) with a cancer diagnosis.
Every individual living with cancer should have a treatment plan that is tailored to their specific needs. Here are a few steps that can help ensure a collaborative and informed decision-making process regarding treatment:
The upcoming workshop, presented by Andrea Markowitz, MSW, LCSW via Zoom is free and open to Gilda’s Club Westchester members as well as the public. To register for the Making Treatment Decisions Workshop, visit the Gilda’s Club Westchester calendar at www.gildasclubwestchester.org
