In order to meet the expanding needs of individuals impacted by cancer in our community, Gilda’s Club Westchester partners with Nyack Hospital to provide emotional support and educational programs both in and outside of our Clubhouse.
Gilda’s Club Westchester at Nyack Hospital
The following programs are offered at The Cancer Center at Nyack Hospital, McCormack Conference Room through a partnership with Nyack Hospital. These support groups are free and open to the community:
Breast Cancer Support Group
Meets the first Monday of each month from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM.
This monthly group, facilitated by a Licensed Social Worker, will offer support during and after treatment, to ease the emotional burden that comes with a Breast Cancer Diagnosis. Hear how others are learning to deal and cope with everyday life, relationships, family, and friends. It is an opportunity to connect with others with a similar diagnosis to learn, share, and gain support.
Living with Cancer Support Group
Meets every Tuesday from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM.
This weekly group, facilitated by a Licensed Social Worker, provides an opportunity to share your cancer experiences with others and engage in discussion on cancer-related issues. This support group complements medical care by providing ongoing exploration of emotional and social concerns, personal wisdom and practical advice that comes from the experience of being impacted by cancer. This group is open to anyone living with cancer.
