In order to meet the expanding needs of individuals impacted by cancer in our community, Gilda’s Club Westchester partners with local hospitals to provide emotional support and educational programs both in and outside of our Clubhouse. Here are our upcoming offerings at local hospitals:
Gilda’s Club Westchester at New York Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital
The following programs are offered at The Cheryl R. Lindenbaum Comprehensive Cancer Center through a partnership with New York Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital. This support group is free and open to the community.
Lymphedema Support Group
Meets 4/29, 6/24, 8/26,10/28, 12/30 from 12:30-2pm and
5/21, 7/16, 9/17, 11/19 from 3:30-5pm.
A Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Lymphedema Therapist will provide emotional and educational support to men and women who are struggling with Lymphedema due to cancer surgery.
Living with Cancer Support Group
Meets the first and third Thursday of every month from 6:00-7:30 PM.
Share your cancer experiences with others and engage in discussion on cancer-related issues. Facilitated by a Gilda’s Club Westchester Social Worker, this support group complements medical care by providing ongoing exploration of emotional and social concerns, personal wisdom and practical advice that comes from the experience of being impacted by cancer. This group is open to anyone living with cancer.
