Thank you for joining us on Saturday and supporting the 2016 Gilda’s Stair Climb at White Plains High School. We are grateful for everyone who climbed, volunteered, sponsored, donated and cheered. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful November day! Climbers enjoyed testing their fitness levels by selecting anywhere between 24 and 96 floors to climb with the IONA women’s basketball team cheering for them along the route.
The event kicked off with a warm-up by Rhonda Hunt from Athleta Scarsdale and remarks from Carole Bass, president of the Gilda’s Club Westchester’s board of directors and Mayor Tom Roach, who has also been a Gilda’s Club member. Jen Klion sang the National Anthem before the Climb.
A special thanks to our event sponsors: Houlihan Lawrence Scarsdale, SL GREEN, IPREO, Dannon, Athleta and Foot Locker.
In-Kind Sponsors included: Giannonni’s Deli (Nonni’s), Crystal Rock, Dannon, Shoprite and Alan Vollweiler of Night and Day Photography.
Gilda’s Club Westchester relies on the generosity of its donors to help provide free emotional and social support to men, women and children impacted by cancer through support groups, short-term counseling, health and exercise workshops and social opportunities.
