Thank you to everyone who joined us and supported the 7th Annual Mah Jongg Invitational on Monday, June 6th, at Willow Ridge Country Club.
Whether you came to play, learn, lunch, or shop, we hope everyone enjoyed an afternoon of fun and camaraderie in support of Gilda’s Club’s mission to provide free support to anyone touched by any type of cancer in our community. This year’s event was a huge success, raising nearly $60,000 for Gilda’s Club Westchester!Co-Chairs Wendy Kleinman and Jodi Shapiro created this event to honor their mothers, Sandi Schneider and Joan Blieberg, both of whom passed away from cancer and shared a love for the game of Mah Jongg. Wendy and Jodi continue to be amazed at how this event continues to grow – drawing new attendees and repeat supporters each year.
Gilda’s Club Westchester relies on the generosity of our donors to provide free programming to men, women, children and teens impacted by cancer in any way. As Gilda’s Club Member, Patricia Grullon, said that afternoon, “Gilda’s Club is an oasis in the desert.” To make a donation, please click here.
We were also so thrilled to have last year’s Gilda’s member speaker, Michelle Hirsh, in attendance at our event and thrilled to report that seven weeks post-surgery, she is doing very well.
Thank you so much for caring and being a part of the Gilda’s Club Westchester family.
